Fixed mortgage rates continue to fall ahead of next week's midterm elections, according to data Zillow provided to Yahoo Finance. The current 30-year fixed purchase rate today, Saturday, October 31, 2026, fell by 2 basis points to 7.10%, the 15-year fixed purchase rate fell 8 basis points to 6.45%, and the 5/1 ARM purchase rate rose by 19 basis points to 7.03%.
