Despite its Spanish origins, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria generates only around one-fourth of its profits in Spain. We expect that on a normalized basis, BBVA's market-leading Mexican bank should contribute half of its earnings, while its Turkish operation should account for another 15%. The balance of BBVA's earnings comes from smaller operations in South America. BBVA is overwhelmingly a retail and commercial bank, with corporate and investment banking forming a minor part of the overall business. BBVA also offers insurance and investment products through its banking networks.

Zelestra Passes $1 Billion in 2026 US Project Financing with $350 Million Close for 203 MW Reclamation Solar Project Backed by Meta
ARLINGTON, Va., October 07, 2026--Zelestra, a global, multi-technology, customer-focused renewable energy company, has closed $350 million in green financing credit facilities for the 203 MW Reclamation Solar project in Gibson County, Indiana. The close takes Zelestra past $1 billion ($1.14bn) in project financing raised in the US in 2026, which is putting more than 800 MW of new solar into construction for its customers across the country.
