LOW research
Company profile and research snapshot.
Lowe's is the second-largest home improvement retailer globally, with more than 1,750 stores in the US, after the 2023 divestiture of its Canadian locations (RONA, Lowe's Canada, Réno-Dépôt, and Dick's Lumber). The firm's stores offer products and services for home decorating, maintenance, repair, and remodeling, with maintenance and repair accounting for two-thirds of products sold. Lowe's primarily targets retail do-it-yourself (around 70% of sales) and do-it-for-me customers, but has expanded its professional business clients to 30% from less than 20% in the past six years (set ot expand further with the acquisition of FBM). We estimate Lowe's captures a high-single-digit share of the domestic home improvement market, based on US Census data and management's market size estimates.

Jim Cramer sees Home Depot and Lowe's blowout quarters as a signal pointing straight at a supplier most investors are overlooking, but the numbers behind Stanley Black and Decker tell a more complicated story about whether this is a trade or something worth holding.

Guggenheim analyst Steven Forbes maintains Lowe's Companies (NYSE:LOW) with a Buy and lowers the price target from $300 to $275.
Yahoo · Aug 21, 2026
Lowe's Companies is under refreshed scrutiny after a modest trim to its fair value estimate, moving from roughly US$263.73 per share to about US$258.19 per share. Street research has taken on a more cautious tone, with several firms paring back price targets as they reset Q2 expectations and reassess how quickly the home improvement cycle might support higher valuations. As you read on, you will see how these shifts fit into the evolving analyst narrative and what signals to watch next. Stay...
